    •  I think the connection with meeet-up brings in people who wouldn't know about this through the organization.
    •  The meeting was very good, however, it should be better run. Each speacker should be given exact amount of time to present and then 5 minutes time for questions. The timing for presenters was not consistant and only one was given time for one question and the 3rd speaker was given time for multiple questions while the firsrt speaker given no time to answer questions. The program should be arrenged and run much much better.
    •  The meetups start too look like sales talks. The formula is now: this is my invention, by the way: I need 40 million bucks, without time to ask questions. It is supposed to be a learning experience for scientists who are interested in commercializing their inventions. I suggest to plan 15 minute question time after each talk (which is more than usual during a presentation).
    •  Terrific presenters. Great organization on the part of the founders.
    •  Presentations were snappier and shorter, however, it may be better if there are two presentations, each followed by Q&A.
    •  great diversity of topics and good networking opportunities afterwards
    •  It was a good crowd. Also, each meet-up has it's own flare which keeps us coming back for more!
    •  Excellent meeting to promote networking between those in academia and in biotechnology. Also an excellent educational opportunity for those who wish to learn more about early stage technology commercialization.
    •  I appreciated the opportunity to make a presentation on my company's technology and prospects. Afterwards, during the networking, a number of people from the investment community and from the scientific community came up to me to ask questions, share information, and exchange cards. An interesting example: There was a woman there who has started a salon for people in the NYC area who have an interest in "green" approaches to agriculture in general and biofuels in particular, and she realized from the presentation that my company is in that space. So the NYC Bio network has now plugged me into a new network, that I knew nothing about. I recommend NYC Bio to all, and wholeheartedly.
