NYC Bio June Meetup

“ The meetup was good although the speakers seemed to just be small companies making pitches. I say next time to have people from the academic field who have an interesting topic to discuss. Also, I think it would be a good idea to have a way of distinguishing the business groups from the scientific groups. One way could be different colored name tags. Green name tags could indicate a business group and white or red could indicate someone in the scientific field. This could make the meetup more efficient in terms of connecting up the businesses with the scientists. ”

“ This group has the potential to encourage the formation of a thriving biotech community in NYC and environs. The presentations are a welcome and stimulating addition to networking alone, but I think it would be an improvement to keep each strictly to about 15 minutes maximum. ”
